Abstract

The invention relates to cells made of fibres of resinous materials particularly for packaging fruit and method of obtaining them. The subject of the invention is cells, particularly for the purpose of wedging and packaging in rigid trays in particular fragile fruit likely to continue their ripening during their storage and their transport, characterised in that they consist of cups 1 of appropriate shape, whose wall 3, 4, is constituted solely by compressed, long, tangled fibres of resinous materials having a thickness of the order of a few millimetres. The invention also relates to a method for obtaining the said cells. Application to the packaging of fruit in particular.
