Anti-theft device which comprises means 1 for locking the handbrake lever 3 when the latter is in the on position. These means 1 are locked onto the gear-change lever 8, preventing its operation. The locking means comprise a casing 1 which serves as a means of concealment and which surrounds the handbrake lever 3. The casing 1 is integral with this lever 3, being manoeuvrable by means of pivoting about said lever. Figure 1.
