Abstract

System which consists of a primary reflector consisting of a modified pyramid which has a polygonal base, which is directly exposed to the sun, which contains faces located above the aforesaid base which include reflection surfaces which intersect at obtuse angles along lines contained in planes perpendicular to said base. The reflection surfaces determine a dihedron and are constructed on the basis of a material with outer mirror finish in order thus to reflect the light incident on it in a concentrated field of reflection. At least one and preferably a plurality of secondary reflectors will be placed inside the concentrated field of reflection, oriented in order to return the light reflected by the surfaces of the dihedron to the vertex of the pyramid. A solar-energy collector will be located in the vertex of the aforesaid primary reflector in order to concentrate the reflected solar energy at a first site via the primary reflector and then via the secondary reflectors. The secondary reflectors may remain stationary within the path followed by the concentrated field of reflection or, alternatively, may be actuated in order to follow the concentrated field of reflection as the latter moves during a solar day.
