EP--69015 A The bitumen based structure for a road surface has a lower zone made out of a material which has an ability to stretch under repeated loads. The thickness of the lower zone is limited to at least part of the whole zone which experiences tractive forces as opposed to compressive forces. - The upper zone is made of a conventional road surfacing material e.g. asphalt or bitumen.
