Abstract

A connection between at least two multiple-conductor electrical cables is protected against the penetration of water by a compressible deposit being formed around the connection, filling the deposit with a liquid sealing agent which is able to solidify or to cure (harden), compressing the deposit in order to force the liquid sealing agent to penetrate the gaps formed between the individual conductors of the connection assembly and the core of the adjacent cable and to keep the deposit under pressure at least for a sufficient time for the sealing agent to harden or solidify.
