METODO DE SECADO DE MINERALES SULFUROSOS POR CONTACTO DIRECTO CON GASES CALIENTES DE SECADO. CONSISTE EN EL TRATAMIENTO TERMICO DE LOS MINERALES SULFUROSOS CON DESPRENDIMIENTO DE GASES QUE CONTIENEN ANHIDRIDO SULFUROSO A PARTIR DE LOS CUALES SE OBTIENE ACIDO SULFURICO EN UNA INSTALACION DE CONTACTO; Y CALENTAMIENTO DE LOS GASES DE SECADO PROCEDENTES DE LA INSTALACION DE CONTACTO CON CALOR EN EXCESO QUE SE RECICLAN PARA EFECTUAR EL SECADO. LOS GASES FINALES DE SECADO SE CALIENTAN A UNA TEMPERATURA SUFICIENTE PARA PRODUCIR LA EVAPORACION DEL VAPOR DE AGUA EN EL SECADO; Y LA TEMPERATURA DE SALIDA DE LOS GASES HUMEDOS DE SECADO SE MANTIENE POR ENCIMA DEL PUNTO DE ROCIO DE DICHOS GASES. TIENE APLICACIONES PARA EL SECADO DE MINERALES SULFUROSOS Y CONCENTRADOS DE MINERAL PREVIO A SU ELABORACION METALURGICA.
