Abstract
The equipment consists of a Raschel loom, the warp threads consisting of small chains. Between each pair of chains are weft threads which are zig-zag and interwoven, covering the core thread of the chains. The weft is intermittently wound around the core thread of each chain and finally the wefts are cut down each side of each chain warp thread by a cutting machine with multiple circular knives, leaving the chenille yarn with some smooth stretches and others with short transverse threads.
