Abstract

Ball screw mechanism with a screw having an external helical groove, having a nut provided with an internal helical groove, which nut surrounds the screw and can be displaced on the latter, having a plurality of load-transmitting balls which are arranged in a ball channel bounded by parts of the helical grooves, having a ball guide which is arranged in an opening on the side of the nut and which has a ball track which connects the opposite ends of the ball channel to one another in such a way that the balls are transferred from one point on the ball channel to another point on the latter, and projections which project over the edge of the opening from opposite sides of the ball guide. According to the invention, the projections are formed along the sides of the ball guide, which extend parallel to a straight central part of the ball track formed in the ball guide, each projection being bounded by a cylindrical outer surface and suitable seats being formed in the inside of the nut for at least partially accommodating the projections.
