Process which consists in starting from a model (pattern) made from stone 1 with a sheet (worked) surface 3 and moulding a negative 5 of plastic material from which terrazzo pieces 7 with reliefs identical to the model are obtained. A variant consists in obtaining, with the plastic negative 5, a metal piece 11 which serves as positive model for obtaining a hard-rubber negative 13 suitable for producing final terrazzo pieces 7. This variant is used for long piece-production runs.
