The fully automatic umbrella is operable single-handedly using a single control. It comprises a stick having a handle at the lower end, an outer tubular shaft mounted on the upper end of the stick, is provided with an intermediate ring at the top. An upper inner shaft is inserted in the upper end of the outer tubular shaft and provided with an upper ring at the top. A slider is mounted over the outer tubular shaft and provided with a lower ring at the upper end. A rib is collapsibly and pivotably connected to the upper, intermediate and lower ring. - A control in the stick is operable to control the opening and collapsing of the umbrella through the control. A coil spring adapted for closing the umbrella is mounted in between the intermediate and lower rings. There is an upper inner shaft inserted in the upper end of the outer tubular shaft and provided with an upper ring at the top. - A slide is mounted over the outer tubular shaft and provided with a lower ring at the upper end. A rib assembly is collapsibly and pivotably connected to the upper, intermediate and lower rings. A control in the stick is operable to control the opening and collapsing of the umbrella through the control. A coil spring is adapted for closing the umbrella mounted in between the intermediate and lower rings. Two coil springs for opening of the umbrella are mounted separately int he upper and lower portions of the stick.
