Investigating Or Analyzing Materials By The Use Of Electric Means
(AREA)
Abstract
A device, for inspecting electrolytically deposited electrically insulating coatings, comprises a vessel (4) with inlet and outlet openings; a wetting system (7,9,11,12) for completely wetting an insulation coated conductive article with an electrically conductive liq; a system (8,10,11,12) for producing a high volume low pressure flowing column of the liq. a conveyor (2) extending across the vessel between the inlet and outlet openings for conveying the article beyond the wetting system and across the liq. column in succession; and a current measuring system (13,14,15) for applying a voltage between the article and the column, when the article passes across the column, and for measuring the resulting current.
