SE CALIENTA UN MERCAPTAN CON ESTAÑO METALICO EN UN MEDIO REACCIONAL FLUIDIFICADO POR ADICION DE UN DISOLVENTE, A UNA TEMPERATURA QUE OSCILA ENTRE 150 Y 200 C, Y PREFERENTEMENTE ENTRE 170 Y 190 C, SIENDO LA PROPORCION DE ESTAÑO DE 1 A 4 ATOMOS POR CADA 4 MOLES DE MERCAPTAN, Y ESTANDO EL ESTAÑO EN FORMA DE PARTICULAS DE 1 A 5 MILIMETROS, Y PREFERENTEMENTE DE 10 A 500 MICROMETROS. EL ESTAÑO QUE NO HA REACCIONADO SE SEPARA POR FILTRACION DE LA MEZCLA PARA SER REUTILIZADO EN UNA NUEVA OPERACION. SE UTILIZAN PARA LA ESTABILIZACION DE RESINAS QUE CONTIENEN UN HALOGENO, Y SOBRE TODO DEL CLORURO DE POLIVINILO.
