Abstract

Lacquer layers are removed from components of a lacquering line wherein the lacquering hangers and if necessary the individual components of the lacquering line are first guided through a bath (10) of liquid nitrogen, the lacquer becoming embrittled, and are then guided through a number of pairs of contra-rotating shafts (7) to which chains (8) or wires are attached for knocking off the embrittled lacquer, which falls into a collecting tank (5).
