CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DE UN EQUIVALENTE DE 5-HIDROXI-L-TRIPTOFANO CON UN EQUIVALENTE DE ACIDO PERCLORICO, EN ACIDO ACETICO ANHIDRO; SEGUIDA DEL TRATAMIENTO DEL PRODUCTO OBTENIDO CON 1 O 2 EQUIVALENTES DE ANHIDRIDO ACETICO, Y POSTERIORMENTE CON HIDROXIDO AMONICO. EL PRODUCTO OBTENIDO SE PUEDE SALIFICAR POR REACCION CON UN ACIDO MINERAL U ORGANICO. ESTOS COMPUESTOS TIENEN APLICACIONES FARMACOLOGICAS EN EL CAMPO DE LA NEUROPSIQUIATRIA.
