2,4-dioxa-7,10-methano-spiro [5,5] undecanes having the formula < IMAGE > wherein R is a member selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, vinyl and propenyl and their isomeric mixtures its synthesis, its use as a perfumery agent and as an olefactant component in perfumery compositions and as an odorant for technical products.
