Abstract
In a method for the detection and removal of defective ceramic objects, detection of the defects is achieved by means of electrostatic charging. In order to allow testing of the ceramic objects for defects at high speed without damaging them, the objects are moved continuously through a testing station, in which they are exposed to successive high-voltage discharges in such a way that essentially their entire area is covered by the high-voltage discharges.
