LA REACCION SE EFECTUA EN PRESENCIA DE UN ACIDO CARBOXILICO R2COOH, INICIALMENTE CARGADO Y EN PRESENCIA DE AL MENOS UN COMPUESTO DE VANADIO EN EL QUE EL VANADIO TIENE UN GRADO DE OXIDACION DE 4 O 5. EL YODURO DE ALQUILO EMPLEADO ES YODURO DE METILO. EL ACIDO CARBOXILICO R2COOH REPRESENTA AL MENOS UN 10 POR 100 EN VOLUMEN DEL MEDIO REACCIONAL INICIAL.
