Abstract

The present invention relates to a dyestuff composition for treating a doll's artificial hair, the color of which composition changes with change in pH. The composition being removable by water and is packaged so as to be applied to dry hair means of a device comprising a porous hollow body for imbibition and controlled release of the liquid composition. The dyestuffs used are preferably food grade acid dyes, for example, Cl. Nos. 42045, 42051, 45380, 45430, 162551, 19140, 42090, and 45170. The dyestuff may be applied at a pH higher than that at which colour change takes place and after application the colour may be changed by treatment with an aqueous solution of 0.001-0.00001 N hydrochloric acid
