Abstract
Lámina plástica preforzada, que se caracteriza esencialmente por estar constituida por dos hojas superpuestas de dicho material, especialmente de polietileno, suministradas en forma continua y soldadas entre sí mediante presión y, preferentemente, por acción térmica o eléctrica, entre cuyas hojas se halla intercalado un refuerzo determinado por unos hilos en zigzag, los cuales, se entrecruzan constituyendo un reticulado regular o irregular que ocupa prácticamente toda la anchura útil de la pieza, siendo los citados hilos de un material resistente apropiado y hallándose los mismos inmovilizados en virtud de la propia unión rígida de las hojas componentes de la lámina, que, merced a tal armadura interna, presenta elevadas cualidades mecánicas frente a los refuerzos de tracción y desgarro.
