Aparato portátil-manual para cortar mármol y otros materiales similares, caracterizado esencialmente por estar constituido por un cuerpo o cámara en cuyo interior va alojado un motor eléctrico que acciona y hace girar a un disco de carborundo o material similar sometido a un riego de agua para su refrigeración, cuyo cuerpo descansa sobre una peana o plataforma susceptible de ser sostenida mediante dos mangos o asideros convenientemente dispuestos; estando el citado cuerpo o cámara dotado de medios para la refrigeración del motor y graduándose la profundidad del corte del disco de carborundo por un movimiento ligeramente angular del cuerpo que acciona y sostiene a dicho disco.
