Abstract
The accumulator (1) for liquids to be heated or cooled, particularly a hot water tank, comprises lead-in pipes (5) allowing to connect interchangeable heat exchangers (9, 10, 11, 12) and/or electric heating rods (8). The lead-in pipes (5) are arranged according to a regular pattern on the wall (2) of the accumulator (1) and traverse said wall. The inlets (14) and/or the outlets (15) of the heat exchangers (9) and/or the connections (16) of the heating rods (8) may be connected to said leading pipes (5). An opening (3) closed by a cover (4) arranged in the wall (2) of the accumulator (1) is used for the mounting or maintainance of the heat exchanger (9) and/or the heating rods (8). An accumulator (1) of this type is very easy and economical to manufacture, and its utilization is very flexible as to the number and the type of heating or cooling systems; it may be converted without requiring major transformations and it is easy to maintain.
