Abstract

The bag filling installation is used for bags with two carrying loops, which may either be integral with the bag or net or may consist of a separate element such as rope or cord. The installation has two equal opening arms (21) with each arm having two ends positioned at a significant distance from each other, one holding end (22) brought into contact with at least one of the bags to be filled and an attachment end (23) at which the arm is connected to an endless band shaped conveyor element (10). The curved track of the conveyor element has varying radii of curvature and the arms are positioned on the conveyor to ensure that the bag filling device is reached when the bag is fully opened and the operation of the filling device is synchronised with the forward movement of the conveyor.
