Abstract
El presente proporciona una hilera de estirado en frío mejorada para fabricar barras de forma poligonal a partir de material redondo, en la que se eliminan los defecto de borde y pueden producirse formas exactamente definidas con una fuerza de estirado sustancialmente equivalente a la de la técnica anterior. En general, esto se consigue porporcionando una hilera que tiene una zona de apoyo poligonal con al menos un lado recto, y una zona de entrada caracterizada por una abertura inicial o zona de contacto totalmente redonda y planos de conformación tangenciales a la abertura redonda, que conducen gradualmente a los lados recto de tal manera que se mantenga el contacto circunferencial completo continuo entre la hilera y el material durante toda la operación de estirado. En una realización específica descrita en lo que sigue, la zona de entrada tiene una sección transversal circular en su extremo anterior. Contiene planos de conformación semielípticos en número igual al de lados rectos de laforma acabada, y esquinas de conformación que conducen gradualmente al vértice de las esquinas de apoyo. Los planos de conformación forman ángulo hacia dentro desde la zona de contacto circular inicial para encontrarse con los lados de la zona de apoyo. El plano de conformación preferido de este invento formará angulo , de valores sucesivamente menores, con el eje geométrico de la hilera a medida que se aproxime a la zona de apoyo, pero este invento cubre también un plano de conformación plano con un ángulo fijo con respecto al eje geométrico de la hilera. Tal como se utiliza en esta memoria, el término" polígono"se refiere a cualquier sección de múltiples caras, incluyendo aquéllas con una o más partes que no sean planas.
