Abstract

The mobile appts. for earthing or making connection with a high tension cable is built on a trailer (3) on wheels (5, 6). A pivoting telescopic boom (33) is attached to the back of the trailer and moves between a horizontal carrying position and a vertical operating position. The head of the boom (2) has a movable grip which contacts the cable, and this is attached to a further cable (52) which carries the current down to the trailer.
