Procedimiento de sobremultiplicación para vehículo automóvil, capaz de dotar de una sobremultiplicación a una transmisión, que comprende un engranaje de entrada montado sobre un eje motor, engranajes intermedios montados sobre un eje secundario montado paralelamente al eje motor, y un engranaje saliente montado sobre un eje de salida paralelo al eje secundario, un primer engranaje intermedio que engrana de salida, y un segundo engranaje secundario que engrana con el engranaje de entrada, incluyéndose en el método: separación del engranaje de entrada del eje motor; montaje sobre el eje motor de un dispositivo que comprende un manguito coaxial y de rotación rígida solidaria con el eje motor, un par de engranajes independientes en su giro, de entrada, montados sobre el manguito, y elementos para solidarizar selectivamente el eje motor en su rotación con los engranajes de entrada; con disposición para que el par de engranajes de entrada, engranen con dos engranajes intermedios respectivos en eleje secundario.
