Abstract

The sleeve comprises a sheath (1) of polyethylene film and a cuff (5). The sheath (1) has two tearing lines (2 and 3) in its longitudinal direction, and the cuff (5) has a notch (9) on its ring (6). When the flap (4) is pulled the sheath (1) can be torn open over its entire length and the cuff (5) can be separated down to the notch (9). This permits the creation of a sterile packaging which may contain the sheath (1) and a tubular apparatus present therein and intended for introduction into the human body. The sleeve permits hygenic storage and handling.
