Abstract

The auxiliary lamp is partly enclosed by a cylindrical housing which is closed at one end and extended at the opposite end by an adjusted and fixing device. The latter consists of a hemispherical sleeve sliding over the open housing end. The housing is joined to the hemispherical sleeve by a circular spring or rib engaging with a corresponding groove formed on the inside of the sleeve close to its open end. A cover screens the lamp glass for protection, when the light is not required. The cover is provided with suitable slots to enable a visible check to be made on the lamp to establish whether or not it is lit.
