Abstract

Shoe and boot stretcher especially for seamless boots. The appliance is manufactured with a removable and extendable wedging key and foot form (1, 2). They are connected with a snap action mechanism. The loosening mechanism and the snap action mechanism are integral with the handle which removes the stretcher from the boot. The mechanism comprises a hollow tube (7), with a T-piece handle (8) across the top. A sprung rod (10) slides in this tube to pivot a lever (15) at the base, which moves apart the two parts of the foot form. The rod is moved relative to the outer tube by knob (9) fixed to its upper end above the T-piece handle.
