Abstract

Un método de fabricar un fleje de plástico generalmente rectangular que tiene una resistencia mejorada a la abrasión de borde, que incluye las operaciones de trabajar un fleje generalmente rectangular formado de material polímero, termoplástico, orientable, para orientar las moléculas del mismo predominantemente en su dirección longitudinal, por lo que los bordes longitudinales opuestos de tal fleje presentan un carácter fibrilar, caracterizado por aplicar calor esencialmente a sólo las superficies de los bordes longitudinales de tal fleje trabajado para fundir por lo menos fibrillas que sobresalen de ellos y dotar a tales superficies de borde del fleje de, al menos, partes que están esencialmente libres de orientación molecular, y enfriar después las partes fundidas de las superficies de borde del fleje hasta la temperatura ambiente.
