Abstract

Un remache, caracterizado esencialmente por hallarse constituido por dos piezas cilíndricas huecas, preferentemente hechas de chapa metálica blanda, tal como latón, una de cuyas piezas posee un extremo cortado longitudinalmente para formar lengüetas, y la otra posee una tapa que forma un resalte interno, preferentemente cónico, sobre cuyas paredes vienen a apoyarse los extremos de las lengüetas, provocando la apertura y el redoblamiento de estas en el interior de una garganta formada entre la tapa y el cuerpo de la pieza, cuando ambas piezas se someten a una presión mutua o a golpeo.
