Abstract

Arranged displaceably within a cylinder (1) is a piston. Two arms (3) project from one end of the cylinder. At its free end, each arm bears an inward-projecting strip (4). The outer flanges (17) are wedge-shaped and are complementary to the shape of the upper part of the said strips (4). The other flanges (18) are of complementary design to the underside (4c) of the strips. The wedging effect to which this gives rise limits the extent to which the yoke can be pushed onto the cylinder. This design makes possible a compact construction and hence allows the device to be used even where space is restricted.
