UNO DE LOS ELECTRODOS ES ADEMAS UNA RESISTENCIA QUE CALIENTA AL ELEMENTO Y LO MANTIENE A TEMPERATURA CONSTANTE CON EL FIN DE ESTABLECER UNA CORRIENTE DEBIL. EL ELEMENTO LLEVA UN CATALIZADOR DE GASES QUE ESA A LA MISMA TEMPERATURA QUE EL ELEMENTO, HABIENDOSE CALCULADO ESTA TEMPERATURA PARA QUE SEA CAPAZ DE ACTIVAR AL CATALIZADOR Y PRODUCIR LA CATALISIS DE LOS GASES. AL PRODUCIRSE LA CATALISIS, SE ELEVA LA TEMPERATURA DEL ELEMENTO Y DISMINUYE SU RESISTENCIA, CON LO CUAL DEJA PASAR UNA CORRIENTE ELECTRICA MAYOR, LA CUAL ACTIVA A UN CONMUTADOR ESTATICO, QUE A SU VEZ CIERRA UN CIRCUITO ACTIVADOR DE UNA SEÑAL ACUSTICA LUMINOSA.
