Abstract
Diphenylamine is prepared by heating aniline at temperatures from 250 to 400 DEG C under pressure in the presence of boron fluorine compounds and water. The novel catalyst composed of water and boron fluorine compounds allows the use of hydrous aniline and can be recovered with ease.
