Abstract

Un procedimiento y su correspondiente aparato para separar partículas de susceptibilidad magnética relativamente alta y baja, y de un fluido en el que se mezclan las partículas entre sí y en el que quedan suspendidas, procedimiento que comprende el pasar el fluido que contiene las partículas a través de una masa de material magnetizable que es permeable al fluido mientras que se somete el material a un campo magnético, caracterizado dicho procedimiento porque antes de pasar el fluido que contiene las partículas a través de la masa de material magnetizables se añade un defloculante al fluido, y el fluido defloculado conteniendo partículas se somete a un campo magnético de una intensidad mayor de 1 Tesla, actuando el campo magnético sobre cada partícula durante un intervalo de tiempo medio mayor de 2 segundos, con lo que se ocasiona que las partículas de susceptibilidad magnética relativamente alta formen aglomeraciones libres dentro del volumen del fluido.
