Improvements introduced in sets of clutch plates, characterized in that they comprise a support plate and a disc of friction material firmly secured to a front surface of the support plate, and in which the support plate is carrying a key plate or metal plate covering the back face of said support plate, the arrangement of the disc element being such that it can be placed in a rearward relationship supported by a similar element and retaining the two elements in said relation by reciprocal adjustment between the two plates of key.
