Abstract
An improved carbonator device having a body member with a water inlet and a water outlet, and a carbon dioxide inlet, comprising: (a) first stage means interconnecting said carbon dioxide inlet and said inlet of water, whereby the flow of water from said water inlet to said water outlet induces a predetermined flow of carbon dioxide and partially absorbs carbon dioxide in the water flow; and (b) second stage means between said first stage means and said water outlet, to cause greater turbulence in the flow of water and partially absorbed carbon dioxide and to provide an increase in the surface area of the water exposed to the carbon dioxide. carbon while maintaining a sufficient flow of water, through said first stage, to maintain said predetermined flow of carbon dioxide, thereby completing the absorption of carbon dioxide.
