Abstract
Procedure for the preparation of insecticidal compositions based on carbamic esters that allows to increase the insecticidal activity of the mentioned esters and especially of the class of the phenyl N-methylcarbamates, characterized in that in a homogeneous solution the following are combined: A) an amount of ortho-substituted phenyl N-methylcarbamate sufficient to obtain the insecticidal effect and not exceeding the amount capable of being completely dissolved in the face of the composition; B) 0.2 to 10 parts by weight, per 1 part of active material A, of a carbon compound, at least (or a mixture of carbon compounds), liquid at 25ºC, not very volatile, with a vapor tension at 25ºc not exceeding 0.01 Torr and with the capacity to dissolve at most 0.5 parts of active material A per 10 parts by weight of B, at 20ºC; C) a volatile liquid carbon compound (or a mixture of carbon compounds) at 25ºC, with a vapor pressure at 25ºC equal to at least 5 Torr, with a dissolution capacity of component A of at least 5% by weight, at 20ºC, and present in sufficient quantity to form a complete and homogeneous solution with the present amounts of components A and B; and, optionally, a soluble adjuvant in the set A + B + C and chosen from D) the diluents that have for the component A a dissolving power of less than 5% by weight and chosen among the liquids that have a vapor tension greater than 0.01 Torr at 25ºc and among the solids; E) liquefied gases preferably soluble in the set A + B + C and usable as propellants; F) the complementary insecticidal active substances preferably different from matter A and soluble in the A + B + C group and whose physical properties are different from those described for components B, C and D, G) colorants; and H) perfumes, the composition of which, optionally, is incorporated into a solid surface, leaving or evaporating the combined liquid C in the homogeneous solution.
