Abstract

A gain control circuit comprising two branches connected in parallel, each of which includes a transistor and a frequency dependent impedance; An input circuit that includes a shoring terminal, and arranged to feed the input signal in common to both branches; an output terminal arranged to receive an output signal from an electrode of one of the transistors; and a signal control terminal. The circuit is such that, the variation of a control signal applied to the signal control terminal will change the resistance ratio, in the branches of the circuit, of the two transistors, thus changing the frequency response characteristic of the circuit.
