Abstract
An apparatus for attenuating waves in water and for controlling and using wave-induced water movements, comprising: a set of transversely curved, elongated and rigid blades, held together in a set of spaced and parallel blades in general coplanar, the curvature of the adjacent blades being oriented in the same direction; and means for holding the blades in a fixed position in said assembly, whereby when said apparatus is placed in the water in a superficial position, or below the surface, through the path of the waves that impact, it acts on the sense to decrease the height, speed, length and period of these waves, and to intercept the wave-induced water movements, deviate them from their natural path, and create water currents and other useful hydrodynamic effects.
