Abstract
A pulse generator that includes: a) a support, at least one wire mounted on the support, the wire having a first layer and a second layer which are each capable of being magnetized at a first level in a first axial direction when subjected to a first magnetic field, reversing the direction of magnetization of said first layer when said first magnetic field is suppressed, each wire being able to establish a wall of magnetic domain between the first and second layers when they have opposite directions of magnetization, turning the direction of magnetization of the first of said layers to said first direction when the wire is subjected to a second magnetic field having the same direction as said first magnetic field and a magnitude greater than that of said first level, b) an inductive reading device including magnetic means for creating said second magnetic field and means for detecting a change in the magnetic field and providing a pulse corresponding to a change in the magnetic field to which the detector is exposed, c) the support and the reading device being mounted so that they can have a relative movement relative to each other in order to subject the wire to the second magnetic field, causing the relative movement of the wire and the second magnetic field to change abruptly in the magnetic field around the wire and to which the detector is exposed.
