Abstract

A method of producing L-DOPA tablets with an L-DOPA content of the order of 250 to 500 mgr, characterized by combining: a) from 60.0% to 80.0% and preferably from 70 to 73%, by weight of L-DOPA; b) 1.0% to 10.0% and preferably 1 to 2% by weight of a binder comprising amylopectin, polyvinylpyrrolidone or respective mixtures; c) from 1.0% to 40.0% and preferably from 20 to 25%, by weight of a tablet disintegrator, especially consisting of microcrystalline cellulose; d) from 0.5% to 3.0% and preferably from 1 to 2%, by weight of a lubricant for pastillage, preferably consisting of talc and magnesium stearate in equal parts, wet granulating the composition formed.
