Abstract

A method of manufacturing a single-sided corrugated board web comprising the steps of: forming corrugations on a continuous web of moving paper media when said web advances through a gripping distance of a pair of corrugating rollers geared; applying adhesive to a continuous web of moving liner paper in strips extending through said web of continuous liner at predetermined spaced intervals along it; bringing said continuous web of adhesive-coated liner paper into contact with said continuous web of moving corrugated media which is supported on one of said pair of meshed corrugating rollers; and compressively applying said combined continuous strips of liner paper and paper medium onto said corrugator roll supporting said corrugated medium for a time sufficient to dry the adhesive.
