Abstract

Improvements in proximity detectors, characterized by having 1) a current amplifier provided with an input circuit and an output circuit, whose circuits are associated with a reference element; 2) at least one current source connected to said current amplifier so that current is produced in said input circuit and in said output circuit, the magnitude of the current in the output circuit being controlled by the current in the input circuit, said input circuit comprising a probe suitable for connection to an object, the proximity to which it is to be detected, such that the capacity between said object and the grounding of said reference element are part of said input circuit, whereby any change in said capacity changes the current in the input circuit, said output circuit is provided with a medium that is charged by the circulation of current in the output circuit so as to produce a signal of voltage; and 3) a voltage detection circuit activated by said voltage signal.
