Abstract

A method of cyclically revealing electrostatic latent images on a reusable electrostatical image reproducing surface, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: forming an electrostatic latent image on said image reproducing surface; developing the latent image with a liquid developer; transferring the developer from the image reproducing surface to a receiving surface in image configuration; contacting the image reproducing surface with a liquid developer absorbing powder to absorb substantially all of the liquid developer remaining on the image reproducing surface, said powder being insoluble in said liquid developer and relatively non-abrasive with respect to said reproducing surface of image; and remove the absorbent powder containing the absorbed residual liquid to prepare the imaging surface for the next imaging cycle.
