Abstract

Loading or pressure mechanism for drawing cylinder for use in a textile fiber manufacturing machine having a lower cylinder and a removable upper cylinder, mounted on top of said lower roller and driven by fraction by the latter, said mechanism comprising: a) a support arm for the upper roller, fixed to said machine, comprising an open surface support formed by an upwardly opening recess, to loosely support said upper cylinder; and b) a load or pressure saddle, fixed to said upper cylinder support arm, comprising a closed four-element linkage linkage mechanism, selectively engageable with said upper cylinder to exert downward pressure on it, thereby removable cylinder is brought into frictional driving contact with said lower cylinder.
