Abstract
A tunable resonant circuit arrangement consisting of: the impedance means supplying at least one resistive component; the means for supplying a first and a second inductive elements coupled through said impedance means; a variable tuning capacitor coupled through said first inductive element; the parameters of said first inductive element, said second inductive element and said variable capacitor having been selected so that they tune through a frequency band as the capacitance of said variable capacitor varies from a first predetermined value to a second predetermined value having further selected the parameters of said second inductive element together with the parameters of said resistive component so that when said variable capacitor is adjusted so that the tuning of said circuit changes from one frequency to another within said effective frequency band presented to said resonant circuit also changes direction so that said resonant circuit manifests a substantially constant bandwidth.
