Abstract

A stainless steel roll for supporting and conveying glass sheets has a surface of 80-120 micro-inch textured finish produced by rough grinding and then polishing the surface to produce a finish of 10 micro-inch or less, and finally shot blasting with fine glass beads to produce the desired finish.
