Abstract

Calentador eléctrico caracterizado por emplear como resistencia calefactora, una o varias cintas de aluminio de pequeño espesor (0,01 mm aproximadamente) y 5 a 20 mm de anchura, con objeto de obtener a igualdad de resistencia total del aparato el máximo de radiación de calor con el mínimo de sección del conductor. Ello trae como consecuencia que la temperatura de la resistencia misma no sea muy superior a la temperatura exterior del radiador. Esto, unido a la propiedad del aluminio de ser inoxidable hace que la resistencia sea de duración muy grande y pueda resistir grandes sobretensiones. La expresada cinta va colocada, formando meandros, entre dos planchas de Uralita, plástico, cerámica, porcelana esmaltada o cemento, cuyas dos planchas con la resistencia forman cada elemento del radiador.
