Abstract

Needle latches incorrectly positioned when needles are in the clearing position make electrical contact with a feeler which opens a thyristor to actuate a relay which stops the machine. The feeler may be a spring or the projecting core of a metal cored rubber rod. A warning lamp may be illuminated.
