Un candado para bicicletas y motocicletas, caracterizado por un cerrojo anular desplazable en el Interior de un armazón constituido esencialmente por dos brazos de segmento circular separados entre sí, cuyo cerrojo anular está unido por uno de sus extremos a un resorte en espiral teniendo el otro extremo libre, y estando fijado el resorte por su otro extremo en el armazón de tal forma que, al correr el cerrojo anular mediante una manecilla en el sentido de la flecha (Fig. 1.) dicho resorte queda tensado hasta que el o los trinquetes de una cerradura entren en una muesca practicada en el cerrojo, quedando el candado cerrado.
